What is Daily Hue?

Daily Hue is a daily photo challenge where everyone gets the same color prompt. Your job is to find that color in the real world, snap 9 photos, and fill a 3x3 collage to share with friends.

Does everyone get the same color?

Yes! Every user worldwide sees the same color each day. A new color drops every morning.

How do I complete my grid?

Tap any empty cell to open your camera or photo library. Take a photo of something that matches today's color. Fill all 9 cells to complete your grid.

Can my friends see my grid before it's complete?

No. Your friends can only see your grid once it’s posted.

How do I add friends?

Go to the Discover tab to find friends from your contacts, accept friend requests, or discover featured accounts.

Can I replace a photo after posting?

No, you cannot. Once you post, your photos are locked in. You can delete grids from your profile timeline view.

How does scoring work?

Every photo you add to your grid is scored based on how closely that object matches the daily hue. The total score averages all of your individual scores into a total grid score.

If I score the same as someone else, who wins?

The user who posted first.

How do streaks work?

Complete your grid every day to build a streak. Miss a day and it resets.

What are streak freezes?

Streak freezes protect your streak if you miss a day. If you have one and don’t complete your grid for the day, the freeze will be consumed, protecting your streak.

Is there a cap on streak freezes?

You can only have up to 5 streak freezes at any one time.

Is Daily Hue free?

Yes, core Daily Hue functionality is free. There may be subscriptions introduced in the future for added benefits, but the app will remain free for all users.
